Crashes become gargantuan setbacks because for whatever reason after a crash Utorrent has to "check" a torrent before resuming the download and goes back and "checks" recently completed torrents. My key objective here is to maximize the efficiency and speed of torrenting while at all costs avoiding "crashes". I have noticed the exact number of the C: drive changing during torrenting which leads me to believe it is being used in some way by the application. Is the PC hard drive utilized also as an "in between point" before writing to the external hard drive? If so, how much space should there be? Right now, I've got 9.48 GB free after freeing up some space in the last 24-36 hours. What are the limitations here? 5 simultaneous downloads? 10? 15? 20? I've got disk cache set to 128, and bandwidth to 200, 50, 4.ģ. It appears to me that Utorrent "uses the memory" of the PC has some sort of buffer/in between point before "writing" the data to the external hard drive. Is there some practical max limit to the number of torrents that can be stored in Utorrent? 500? 1000? 3000? Is there some number of torrents that is "excessive"?Ģ. I am by no means a computer expert, but the nature of the error seems to suggest it is some type of "memory issue" so I am trying to consider items that tax the "memory" storage of the PC and/or Utorrent application.ġ. Note: Again, if none of the previous steps fixes the issue, make sure you have contacted The Chaos Group to raise a dedicated V-Ray support ticket.Windows Defender, it looks like it may have updated sometime recently.

Reinstall 3ds Max and all plug-ins (make sure to download the latest plug-in versions from the manufacturer's website and install them).Uninstall V-Ray and any additional plug-ins (for example, iToo Software, VizPark). If the previous steps do not resolve the crashing or freezing while rendering with V-Ray renderer, do the following:

Update the graphics card or graphics card driver Use the File > Save option to save the file for review if needed. In the System Information window, view the BIOS Version/Date field.Go to the Windows Start bar and type "System Information.".System Information files (.NFO) can be found by doing the following steps: To check if a BIOS update is required, use a Windows System Information file. Note: If there is an update for your BIOS listed from the manufacturer, install it as it helps provide the best software experience in Windows for the PC. Reset the BIOS and verify that all processor cores are utilized (for example, Dell system BIOS reset instructions can be found on their Support page). Update outdated BIOS or correct the PC's CPU settings See System requirements for Autodesk 3ds Max products. Also, if enough RAM has been installed it may be that the computer is not utilizing all of its processor cores. For these types of scenes, 32-64 GB of RAM is recommended so the scene does not fail while rendering. Larger, more complex scenes, or scenes with higher render settings require more RAM to process the render. To check the V-Ray version, go to Render Setup window > Rendering > Render Setup > Renderer. Verify that the most recent version of V-Ray is installed by viewing the updates listed on Chaos Group's Downloads page. Make sure to download and install the latest updates for 3ds Max from your Autodesk Account > 3ds Max > Downloads > Updates & Add-ons. Update 3ds Max to the latest version While waiting for technical support feedback from Chaos Group, here are some general troubleshooting steps to try: (Autodesk cannot address specific V-Ray issues, including licensing questions those must go to Chaos Group instead.) Important note: The V-Ray renderer is developed and sold by The Chaos Group, not Autodesk.Īlthough V-Ray is available for Autodesk software packages such as 3ds Max, Maya, and Revit, issues specific to V-Ray should be addressed first to the Chaos Group's technical support team.
